Passed Out

Today I slept in till 11:00 (thanks to hubby) and then got ready and went grocery shopping with my daughter and husband. At the store I felt a little out of breath but nothing abnormal, I get like that really easily this pregnancy. But then when we were checking out it started getting worse, I was dizzy and seeing spots. So I told Thomas that I was going to go find a place to sit down. I started walking away and the next thing I knew I woke up on the ground. I had only made it about 15 feet and there were two checkout ladies bent over me. I have never passed out before! It was so weird, I was just really confused, I was walking and then what happened? Anyway my husband didn't see me fall he just saw me sitting afterwords taking to the checkout ladies, so when someone said something about it he said "She'll be fine". He had no idea I had passed out, so the ladies were so mad at him, they were like, "I cant believe he is still just checking out! He didn't even run over here to check on her!". Of course he was really concerned when we got outside and I told him what had happened. But now every time we go to smiths they are going to think there is that jerk that doesn't even care when his pregnant wife passes out!! LOL! But I am okay I didn't hit my head too hard, just enough to give me a little headache, and I fell backwards instead of on my stomach thank god!! But I made a doctors apt for Tuesday to get checked out. I think it was just low blood sugar, I hadn't ate yet, but I had only been up for 2 hours! It's not like I hadn't ate all day or something! So now my husband is scared to leave me alone, he thinks I am going to pass out at any moment. Hope it doesn't happen again. My mom said I am going to have to get a walker to use that has a seat so when I get tired I can just stop and sit down LOL! And my husband suggested one of the motorized chairs for when we go grocery shopping- I don't think so. But I think we will shop at places that have benches!!

  1. I've come close a few times but never really did. Once, I felt it coming and I was in the bedroom next to my daughter's bed. I told her to MOVE and I went to lay down and totally had no control over my decent. It was a wierd feeling. I just kept my cell tucked in my pocket at all times so I could call for help if I ever got hurt. Glad you are ok!

  2. Having your cell phone on you is a good idea. Also, keep a granola bar or something small like that handy in your purse. I started feeling like that closer towards the end of my pregnancies more and more. I was also very anemic (am anyways) so getting proper amounts of iron helped too.

  3. I had a EKG done and it was normal so that is good. My doctor said it is probably just pregnancy related, like low blood sugar. So I will just make sure I eat complex carbs before I go somewhere and maybe keep a snack in my purse. Thanks for the comments and tips!
